This week world leaders are gathered in Paris trying to work out how to combat climate change.
But rather than help fix this huge problem, our Prime Minister John Key has become a part of it, saying New Zealand “doesn't need to be and shouldn't be a leader in climate change”.
Will you add your name to the open letter telling John Key that, as Kiwis, we want New Zealand to stand tall on issues like this - not be a part of the problem?

To John Key,
Your government’s position on climate change is harming our reputation and will harm our environment and our economy if you refuse to change it.
Please strengthen the proposal you have put forward in Paris by agreeing to set a target of 40% reduction of CO2 emissions on 1990 levels.
This is the right thing to do. It’s right for the environment, for our future generations, and it will help build our clean green reputation and push our economy to adapt and prosper.
New Zealand has a great tradition of doing the right thing and being an international leader. It’s time for you to honour this tradition.
